About us
Our team’s mission is deeply personal. Growing up across Africa, each of us experienced firsthand the everyday realities of living without reliable electricity or access to clean cooking fuel. Navigating an inconsistent energy landscape meant depending on expensive, unsafe, and polluting alternatives like generators, kerosene lanterns, and firewood.
This shared background inspired our co-founder, Tolulope Amusat, to pioneer sustainable energy alternatives. During his undergraduate research in Ibadan, Nigeria, Tolulope conducted a feasibility study on biogas for rural electrification. His findings demonstrated vast untapped renewable energy potential—and a clear pathway to meaningful, scalable change.
Driven by this vision, Tolulope united a core team of engineers: Adom Amoah, Mukhtar Abubakar, Hendrix Lando, and Lionel Ilunga. Together, we pool our multidisciplinary expertise to develop innovative, reliable energy systems. We are dedicated to building a sustainable and equitable energy future for communities across the continent.
Did You Know?
Africa’s energy poverty is a $190 billion economic leak, draining up to 6% of the region’s GDP annually due to inadequate power infrastructure and lost productivity. While nearly 1 billion people lack clean cooking fuel—causing over 800,000 household air pollution deaths per year—the continent suffers from the ‘Africa Paradox’: it is rich in organic waste resources but poor in power. Only 21% of the population has clean cooking access.
Our solution captures this massive market inefficiency. By converting abundant local waste into reliable, affordable biogas, we disrupt the expensive ‘dirty’ fuel market. We are plugging a multi-billion dollar macroeconomic drain and turning waste into a high-growth commercial engine.
